- The gateway is 'fat' now - running native on PowerPC processors.
- The gateway can now connect to FirstClass servers using TCP/IP protocol.
- The gateway can be started by FirstClass server (server-initiated gateway).
- Default attachment encoding can be specified for messages received from the FirstClass server.
- Large bodies can be supplied to the FirstClass server as attachments now.
- Bug fix: addresses truncation (39 character limit) should not occur any more.
- Bug fix: messages should not be cut off now. Bigger buffers are used for message transfer now.

- When submitting messages to the Server, names of BBS users are added to inactive Internet addresses (such as From) as "real names".
- The names of non-directly connected BBS systems are added with the gatewayed BBS prefix now (a message sent to the Server via BBS "BBS1" by USER at the BBS site BBS2 has the From address USER%BBS2@BBS1). This feature allows the Gateway to serve users of non-directly connected BBS systems without special Router records.
- Bug fix: some message fields were not inititalized before submitting messages to the BBS.

- If the FirstClass BBS is not running, the Gateway does not quit, but beeps and tries again later.
- The substitution options for spaces in BBS user names are implemented.
- Basic AppleEvents are supported. Now the Gateway quits on the Restart/Shutdown Finder commands.
- Bug Fix: names is inactive addresses (From:, inactive Cc:, etc.) were converted as active names.

- The RFC Headers option is improved.
- Bug Fix: an uninitialized variable could result in failures of Reverse Routing operations.
- Bug Fix: the gateway did not use all the memory allocated to the application.
